Japan House is one of the newest editions to Kensington High Street, but it’s already making waves. Billed as the new ‘cultural home’ of Japan in the city, the space is designed to help present the very best of Japanese culture to Londoners. This includes everything from art, to food, tech and design. Created as a wing of a cultural initiative, Japan House is one of three similar venues in LA and Sao Paulo, each of which hope to further understanding and appreciation of Japan.

What is Japan House?

Japan House is much more than just a cultural exchange. The space offers room for exhibitions, events and retail opportunities, alongside gastronomic experiences. Each room is carefully designed to bring Japanese flair to London – and there’s always something new happening in this innovative location. Whether you want to see the latest art exhibit or head to an interactive workshop, Japan House has carefully curated a programme sure to impress.

There is a particular emphasis on supporting both established Japanese artists and those who are just starting their careers, so visitors here can learn more about emerging creative figures in Japanese culture.
