The BBC Proms returns to the Royal Albert Hall in 2019 for its 125th season this year and is definitely a date for any music lover’s calendar.

Running from the 19th of July until the 14th of September, there’s plenty of opportunity to take advantage of our London hotels romantic packages with that special someone and attend some of the performances on offer at this year’s proms.

CBeebies: A musical trip to the moon – Sunday 21st of July

If you’ll be bringing the little ones along to London this year and want to give them an amazing musical experience, then join their favourite CBeebies presenters for a family prom designed to fire youthful imaginations and demonstrate the power of dreaming big.

Starting at 11 am, you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast at our restaurant in Kensington before heading off to the Royal Albert Hall to enjoy the performance. Located just over a mile away from our hotel in Kensington, you can take the Tube or a black cab to the venue before returning for a tasty and fun Indian afternoon tea and to talk about your morning at the Proms.

Strauss, Brahms & Bostrom – Thursday 25th July

One for those that appreciate the dramatic power of the orchestra, the Strauss, Brahms & Bostrom concert at 7pm is a must.

With Markus Stenz conducting and pairing Strauss’s lively tone-poem with Brahms’s turbulent Symphony No. 1, this performance is sure to be a popular event as part of this year’s Proms. To really make an occasion of it, why not enjoy an early dinner or Indian afternoon tea at our restaurant in Kensington before heading out for an evening certain to be filled with powerful music and beautiful solo performances?

Relaxed Prom – Tuesday 6th August

Music in a relaxed environment is the name of the game here with guests invited to dance, sing and generally feel the music at this special event designed specifically for those with sensory and communication impairments and learning disabilities.

With designated chill out spaces outside of the auditorium plus audio description and British Sign Language interpretation, this performance is ideal for those who still wish to enjoy the proms with a more laid back and casual performance.

As this event starts at 10 am, take your time over breakfast at our hotel in Kensington before heading off to catch the performance.

The Magic Flute – Tuesday 27th August

A must-see concert for couples enjoying our London hotels romantic packages, The Magic Flute is a beguiling mix of enchantment and enlightenment politics starting at 7 pm.

As Mozart’s final opera, this much-loved comedy is perfect for couples with a love of music and inventiveness and is not to be missed ay this year’s BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
